Building an inground fire pit.

We built our fire pit with a patio surround so you ll need to apply the same steps. For instance if you just want a basic fire pit dig about 6 to 8 inches down and call it good. Because regular clay brick can crack at high temperatures we re using firebrick also called refractory brick to line the inside of the easy fire pit walls. Place one stake in the middle and scrape the ground with the other going around in an even circle.

Using concrete pavers for fire pits will allow. I built my fire pit using 30 landscaping flagstones and 4 tubes of heavy duty. Be sure when you re selecting a location for your fire pit you are. Dig a hole by using a stake string and a can of spray paint like in the video below.

Select your location and lay out your stones. It s larger thicker and wider than regular brick and you can find it at most brickyards.
