These sets almost always have a formica top.
The actual painting obviously won t take the entire 48 hours but you should be prepared to not be able to use that space for at least that long.
There are a couple of things you need to know before you jump right in and paint your formica cabinets.
However despite its versatility formica can become faded or appear outdated and mismatched with your current home décor.
If you are painting a light color over very dark formica however you might need to apply a third coat of paint for full coverage.
The key is to use a high quality primer that will adhere well to the laminate surface.
My go to product of choice is spray zinsser bulls eye 1 2 3 primer.
Formica dressers can be refreshed with a coat of paint as long as the formica surfaces are properly prepared.
